ABOUT DR. DELVENA

Warmly regarded as Dr. Delvena by her patients and nurses, Dr. Delvena Thomas is an advocate for mental health awareness and reducing the stigma. Dr. Delvena believes that if we dialogue more about our brains and our mental health, more people will be less afraid and more accepting.

Dr. Delvena was trained in medicine, psychiatry and neurology at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore (MD). She is a board-certified psychiatrist who maintains a private practice that includes psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, wellness and alternative interventions located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Delvena will travel to quell one’s concerns for ultimate privacy. Appointments do not have to occur in the office setting.

EXPERIENCE

Dr. Delvena has practiced medicine all over the world. Her patient clientele includes those who consider themselves high profile, celebrities, current & retired professional athletes, those in high stress occupations such as ‘first responders’, and members of the armed forces. Dr. Delvena is experienced in working with patients suffering from trauma/traumatic brain injuries, mood ailments, anxiety, addiction, relationship qualms, and sexual dysfunction.

Her experiences also include wartime efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves and is a veteran of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
